Children's Ministry

Teaching our children to follow Christ before the world teaches them not to.

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." -Matthew 19:14

Epiphany’s Children’s Ministry strives to serve all children from all walks of life. It is our desire to meet them where they are individually, understanding that each child is a unique gift to us from God. As Matthew 19:14 states, we do not want to hinder any child from learning of the gospel and its life changing message. Because of this, we embrace the fact that God made each child unique and special, and we strive to make sure that we deliver the gospel to the children in a way that they can understand.

We want church on Sunday to be a fun experience for the children, but we also want to challenge them to learn more. It is our mission to teach them to follow Christ before the world teaches them not to. Currently, children’s ministry is using the “Bible Studies for Life” curriculum for toddlers up to 5th grade.

We are honored to teach and serve your children on Sunday mornings. Thank you for giving us the opportunity.

Children's Classes

Nursery (birth – 18 months)
Children in this room are typically not walking yet. Many children are walking by 15 months, in which case they can go ahead and move up to the Toddler class. Many children stay in the nursery until 18 months, when walking is mastered.

Toddlers (15 months – 3 years old)
Children can join this class as young as 15 months as long as they are walking. Children younger than 15 months who are walking need to stay in the nursery until 15 months is reached due to safety and attention spans. We happily work with potty training children in this class and will help your child succeed. Children stay in this class up to age three and can move up to the next class once potty training is mastered. Children who turn 3 years old and are potty trained after annual promotions may move up at the beginning of a new quarter.

Pre-K (3-5 years old)

Children must be at least 3 years old and potty trained to be in this class. This includes no pull-ups. We understand accidents happen with this age and that is okay. Children need to be able to use the restroom with minimal or no assistance. Special consideration is granted depending on circumstances (special needs, etc.)

Kindergarten – 1st Grade (5-7 years old)

Children must be in Kindergarten or 1st grade to be in this class. It is expected that children this age can sit at the table, listen to lessons, and participate in class discussions and activities.

2nd – 3rd Grade (7-9 years old)

Children must be in 2nd or 3rd grade to be in this class. It is expected that children this age can sit at the table, listen to lessons, and participate in class discussions and activities.

4th - 5th Grade (10-11 years old)

Children must be in 4th or 5th grade to be in this class. It is expected that children this age can sit at the table, listen to lessons, and participate in class discussions and activities.

*Promoting to New Classes Class promotions always occur in August of each year to follow the school schedule, with certain considerations given to May promotions as needed on a case-by-case basis.

We Love and Serve All Children

Children with special needs are 100% welcome in the Children’s Ministry! Children with special needs will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis to ensure the child gets the absolute best care and Biblical education. Children’s Ministry will work with the parents of each child to figure out how we can best serve that particular child to the best of our ability. Children’s Ministry welcomes information and education on how we can better serve children with all types of special needs. We always want to do better. Please reach out and educate us!
