A Letter From Pastor Cody

Epiphany Baptist Church

March 11th 2018 Dear Faith Family of Epiphany Baptist Church,

It is with great emotion and profound peace that I am announcing to you my resignation as pastor of Epiphany Baptist Church. This decision is not one that is taken lightly or made hastily, this resignation decision has been reached by my wife and I with the Lord’s leadership after many months of prayer and seeking God and His will for our family’s life and ministry. This decision has not been reached by any discontent here at Epiphany, our decision is what we believe as a clear call to follow the Lord in His Kingdom work. My resignation will be effective as of today, March 11th, 2018.

I want to encourage you in 2 specific ways. First, let this transition period build your prayer life like never before, pray for each other in this church, pray for willingness to follow God’s leadership during this transition time. Second, stick to the course, a time of transition can be a bit scary, do not get panicky. Remember one thing, God is sovereign over all things, and He certainly is not taken by surprise by this announcement. God is on His throne and has great plans for Epiphany Baptist Church. I want to repeat to you something that I have told you many times during my ministry here, I love you tremendously, and I will always be praying for each one of you.

God has blessed me tremendously in my almost three years here as pastor. Thank you for the love and support that I have received in my time here. My family and I have made lifelong friends and memories during our time of service here. God is laying a call on my life to move from here, but I will never forget any of my faith family members of Epiphany. I am committed to making this transition as easy and smooth as possible as the church begins to search for a new pastor. I know that God has already been preparing the man who will be the next lead pastor of this wonderful church.

The people of this church have become family to my family and I. I am continuously impressed with the level of dedication to God and to each other you all demonstrate. Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your lives and for your support. I wish all of you grace and love. I can be reached anytime at (615) 319-8773 if there are any needs that I can help meet.

In His Eternal Grip,

Bro. Cody Dean "BroCo"
